A little about me. I grew up in Youngstown, OH where I loved to draw and play sports. I attribute that to my passion (addiction) to sneakers and trading cards. I’m a huge sneakerhead and card nerd. I think that’s because they’re an intersection of sports, art and design. All of my hobbies baked into one.

I went to The Ohio State University to study industrial design hoping to become a footwear designer one day. But, after landing a graphic design internship with Ohio State’s football program (and working with a brand/product development startup), I realized my interests shifted to brand identity and graphic design. The rest was history.

I had an incredible experience while working as a Creative Director for the Buckeyes’ Creative Media staff. I got to build relationships with some of the most talented individuals in the world. From a recruiting standpoint, our staff landed 7 consecutive top 10 ranked classes, with six of those being in the top 5. Our creative staff’s work was featured in national publications including ESPN, Sports Illustrated, USA Today, Yahoo! Sports, and The Athletic. In 2018, I spearheaded a new professional development program called Brand U. It was the first-ever in-house personal brand development program aimed to helped student-athletes discover and create their own brand, identity and prepare them for a life after football. Brand U received national attention and was featured on ESPN, Front Office Sports, 247Sports and The Athletic.

Now, I’m living my dream building out my own design company. SammySilv, Inc. I spend my time focusing on brand identity and graphic design related projects. Anything from logos to posters to packaging to motion graphics. I love building lasting relationships with my clients and strive to make the process and the work both enjoyable and memorable.

I love my wife, family, friends and my pups.

I also love pizza.

And candy.
